The sequel to Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades will be released in 2019. It's a bold move that increases the stakes and gives an in-depth look at family politics.
Melinoe is back in the hunt to kill Chronos the titan of time. On her way, she'll meet new gods and specters, including the personification of the light Apollo and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate and the god of the retribution Nemesis.
1. Hades 2 Technical test
If you're a fan of Supergiant Games and their acclaimed 2020 Roguelike Hades It might be worthwhile to consider signing up for the technical test for the sequel. The studio has announced that its Early Access launch will be soon, and a playtest with a lower number of players than the full 1.0 version will help them get any bugs fixed.

2. Hades 2 Early Access
Hades 2 is officially in early access, and it's available to purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store. If you decide to purchase the game will be able to play the early access version as well as the 1.0 full version when it is released in 2024, which Supergiant Games has confirmed will occur sometime in 2024.
While the original Hades was a modern classic and this sequel blows it out of the water in every way. The roguelite has more depth and thrilling combat than ever before. It feels like an entirely realized game just waiting for a few more details to become a masterpiece.
Apart from its stunning graphics, Hades 2 introduces a variety of brand new and exciting characters and features that will enhance the experience and test players in ways they've did not anticipate. In addition to the new gods, shades, and items that populate the Underworld there's a wide array of items that you can collect and upgrade via Incantations. This system of permanent upgrades is present throughout every game. Melinoe can also craft new spells, upgrade her nocturnal arms and Nocturnal Armor, collect items from the crossroads camp to use in future runs, and unlock trinkets, weapons boons, paths and other tools as she goes.
Another great addition is the addition of more open regions, which provide a variety of different routes through each region and a constantly changing setting to explore. Each region provides a distinct perspective on the Underworld. Some are more accessible than others, but all offer unique challenges that separate them from other roguelites.
Supergiant also tweaked the gameplay a bit in its early access build, reducing some of the work required to unlock certain upgrades, and making it easier to move from one zone to the next. There's a lot of work to be done before the game is released for full release however, the studio has made clear that it's determined to make the most of player feedback and to continue to refine Hades 2 to a perfect state.
Supergiant is renowned for its ability to listen to its customers and address any issues that arise. This is evident in how it handled the early-access release of Hades 2 It's likely to be some time before the full version is released however, it's already worthy of a place on your gaming shelf along with its predecessor.
3. Hades 2 Beta
Hades was a roguelike like the rest when it came out in 2018. The game has won many awards and is regarded as one of the best games ever made. It was no surprise that the game resonated so well with the public, due to its rich story which is rooted in Greek mythology, stories of struggles between families and LGBTQ+ representation which feels natural and inclusive. It came as no surprise to those who loved the film when Supergiant announced that a sequel was in the in the works.
Seven years later, after the first release, Hades 2 is finally making its way into early access. And while it doesn't change much mechanically, the love and time that Supergiant invested in Hades 2 is clear from the beginning.
According to the Steam page for Hades 2, the game "brings back all the elements that made the first one so unique with the isometric perspective clearing rooms, selecting boons and unleashing powerful attacks, the central world that is populated by fully voice-acted characters to speak with and learn from, the ever-changing Underworld and much more."
In addition to these reintroduced features, the test also adds a few new ones as well. For instance, the capability to unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a new weapon, and a myriad of other options that can aid you in surviving the Underworld's hordes. You'll also be able tame witchy familiars, reveal mysteries at the Arcana Altar, and gather ingredients that will enhance your abilities.
But the most impressive feature is Omega attacks that are a brand new way to power up your weapons and spells. With these attacks, you can increase your magick meter and unleash devastating strikes with huge areas of effect. It's a great method to add variety to the action of combat.
Hades 2 beta is available both on Steam and Epic Games Store. The official release date for the full version of the game is not known however, Supergiant has promised to keep fans updated as they are working towards a 1.0 release in 2024. 4. Hades 2 Release Date
Hades 2 is now available in early access for PC after the success of a test.
